Basic Fit $100 (1.5 hours)Complete analysis of your position and adjustments to your bike, which will determine the six key measurements of fit - saddle height, reach to the handlebars, reach to the hoods, saddle fore/aft position (setback), saddle height over handlebars (drop), and saddle tilt. Recommendations for correction may include a different stem length and/or rise, handlebars, pedals, saddle, or seatpost. This service will also include a basic cleat fit, which will determine proper fore/aft and side-to-side cleat placement, as well as rotation (heal in/out position). This is the level of fit recommended for newer or beginning cyclists.
comprehensive fit $150 (2.5 hours)All the services included with a basic fit, but includes a far more detailed analysis of the foot/pedal interface while clipped in. I’ll be examining pelvic tilt or rotation, functional or actual leg length differences, forefoot tilt, stance width, and alignment of hip/knees/feet. Corrections may include leg length shims, pedal extenders, cleat wedges and/or wedges that go in the shoe. This is the level of fit recommended for experienced cyclists, and those experiencing pain or discomfort.

custom fit $250 (3 hours)This level of fit is for those who want a custom built bike or for those who want to take that extra step to determine which stock bikes would work best with their body. Eight anatomic measurements are taken and a Comprehensive Fit is conducted on your current bike to determine your ideal frame geometry and position. If you do end up getting a new bike, I’ll transfer your new fit to your new ride.
the fine printTimes listed the for completion of the above fit sessions are approximate; your fit may take less time or more time than indicated.
The above prices are strictly for labor. Small parts and/or components are not included, but can be purchased through Revolution Bike Shop. Generally, cleat/shoe parts are going to be somewhere between $5-$25. We can discuss components that may possibly be needed at the time of the fit (saddle, handlebars, stem, seatpost, or pedal extenders). If you are on a budget, used parts may be available. All of the above services include six months of free follow-up appointments. If something doesn't feel quite right, let me know and we'll schedule some time to make it better. If you don’t see a service that suits your needs, please give me a call, or email me (velofitter@yahoo.com), and I can give you a customized quote. As a good rule of thumb you can figure on labor charges at the rate of $75 per hour. My number is (858) 414-7093. If you are reading this from your phone, you can click the button below to call me. |
