THE BOTTOM LINEA properly executed bike fit can not only help you ride farther and faster, but take your enjoyment of cycling to an entirely new and higher level.
In addition to making adjustments to your bike, some of the possible component / equipment changes that might need to be made during a fit could include a different saddle, stem, handlebars, shoes, pedals, or seat post. After all the changes have been made, the following six road bike measurements will be established and recorded.

the foot/pedal connectionMore advanced bike fit sessions can also identify changes that might be needed to your cleats, shoes, and/or pedals. Your connection to the pedals can have a major influence on properly aligning your body on the bike, and can be a critical component not only to greater comfort, but can also be a significant factor in the elimination or prevention of injuries. The following devices may be used to improve your foot/pedal connection.

getting a perfect fitLastly, bike fitting is not the same as bike sizing. Bike sizing will take into account your body measurements (often simply your height), which form the basis for recommending the correct size of frame. Having the right size of bike is extremely important, but does not eliminate the need for further improvements to create harmony with your bike. It would be like like getting a tuxedo or formal evening dress that may be the right size, but then not having it tailored to fit you perfectly.
